Informationen für Schulpraktikanten, Studierende, Ärztinnen und Ärzte in Weiterbildung, ärztliche Hospitationen und vieles mehr.

Für ein Schulpraktikum (2 Wochen) stehen wir nach telefonischer Anfrage und persönlicher Vorstellung beim Direktor gerne zur Verfügung. Die Schülerin/der Schüler sollte mindestens das 16. Lebensjahr erreicht haben. Das Einverständnis der Eltern und die Unterschrift über das Einverständnis zur Einhaltung der ärztlichen Schweigepflicht sind Voraussetzung.

Während des Schulpraktikums vermitteln wir Einblicke in den operativen und nicht-operativen Medizinbetrieb, nicht nur der Urologie, sondern auch in andere Fachgebiete, um das Interesse an dem komplexen Gebiet der Humanmedizin zu wecken.

Der Direktor Univ.-Prof. Dr. med. Christian Meyer hat die Ermächtigung zur Weiterbildung von der Ärztekammer Westfalen Lippe für folgende Gebiete:

  • Facharzt Urologie: 60 Monate
  • Zusatzgebiet Medikamentöse Tumortherapie: sechs Monate
  • Fachgebundene Röntgendiagnostik (Dr. med. Thomas Maurer)

Nach persönlicher Vereinbarung oder auch nach Organisation mit einem industriellen Anbieter, können Urologen an organisierten Hospitationen teilnehmen. Neben praktischen Tipps während des OP-Ablaufs, werden auch theoretische Kenntnisse vermittelt.

Im Jahr 2016 sind drei der Kliniken des Klinikum Herford, die Klinik für Allgemein- und Viszeralchirurgie, Thoraxchirurgie und Proktologie, Klinik für Urologie und die Klinik für Anästhesiologie, operative Intensivmedizin, Rettungsmedizin und Schmerztherapie, zu Universitätskliniken der Ruhr-Universität Bochum geworden.

Die besondere Arbeit der Universitätskliniken am Klinikum Herford beginnt mit der qualifizierten Lehre und Ausbildung von Medizinstudenten, geht weiter mit kontinuierlicher Forschung und Evaluierung neuer Behandlungsmethoden und setzt in Folge auch die Bereitstellung neuester Technologien und Geräte voraus.
