Das Institut für Labormedizin umfasst die Arbeitsgebiete klinische Chemie, Serologie, Blutgruppenlabor, Hämatologie, Gerinnung, Toxikologie und Bakteriologie. Jährlich werden für das Klinikum ca. 1,4 Mio. Analysen erstellt, davon 230.000 als Notfalluntersuchungen.
